Each NAAAP chapter consists of several committees, which are responsible for promoting one or more aspects of our mission. Each committee of volunteers is lead by a committee director.
NAAAP Colorado is always looking for volunteers to get involved in the committees. Volunteers gain leadership experience - while providing valuable events (networking, professional development, social) for our members.

The Community Relations Committee is responsible connecting NAAAP with the community at large.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inform the community about NAAAP
- Build mutually beneficial partnerships
- Understand the missions and goals of other community organizations

The Leadership Development Committee is in charge of our leadership workshops and the content for Power Connect events.
Workshops are designed to provide professionals with leadership learning opportunities to explore and develop their core skills and competencies. These workshops are typically 2-3 hours in length and will be provided on monthly basis. We focus on action-based leadership education and cover specific topics such as leadership presence, career advancement, and team dynamics.
Power Connect events provide a quick 30 minute seminar on various leadership/career topics.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate event ideas
- Coordinate calendar of events
- Venue selection for Workshops
- Contact and select guest speakers
- Coordinate with sponsors and/or other community organizations, if needed
- Coordinate volunteers
- On-site event management
- Communicate event information to other committees
- Manage all financial data for reporting purpose

Marketing Committee plays an integral role in NAAAP Colorado by ensuring effective communication between all the committees, members, and the community..
Primary responsibilities:
- Create marketing materials for events
- Publish/send out invitations and news to members/community
- Design, maintain, and order NAAAP Colorado merchandise as needed
- Create monthly newsletter for NAAAP Colorado members

The Programming Committee is responsible for all of NAAAP Colorado’s events. From idea generation to event management, this committee will provide opportunities to people who are looking to be active in the community, meeting new people, and working on project management skills.

The Technology Committee supports other committees within NAAAP Colorado on various issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems and concerns of the organization. Plans, organizes and directs the activities of technology committee.
Primary responsibilities:
- Designs, specifies, configures, and maintains website, software and other organization’s network/equipment as needed
- Oversees daily operational activities of the organization’s website
- Evaluates technology and makes recommendations to ensure compatibility and effectiveness
- Reviews organization requests for technology and makes recommendations as appropriate, on alternative system options
- Maintains website database, users, user environment and security
- Trains staff on software and equipment usage
- Responds to the needs and questions of online users concerning their access to resources on the website and the operation of various software programs
- Assists/supports other committees, presenters and individuals on technical issues during NAAAP Colorado’s various events
- Researches and evaluates new technologies
- Purchases computer equipment and related supplies, negotiates contracts, pricing and products with vendors
- Installs, migrates and tests software/hardware upgrades
- Responsible for all aspects of data security and integrity, recovery procedures, report continuity and disaster recovery planning
