Programming Committee

 

Position:  Program Administrator 

Job duties/Responsibilities: Performs administrative support activities for Program Director and Manager. Duties include word processing, tracking metrics (salesforce.com, generating ad hoc reports (in coordination with the Membership Committee) for Director and Chapter President. 

Roles:  Project management/coordination and the ability to work well with all levels of the program committee and chapter officers.  Strong communication and organizational skills are required as well.  This position reports only to the Program Director and Manager. 

Time Requirements:  This position will require a couple hours every week in collecting metrics from the Membership Committee and the Program Registration Coordinator.  If individual is unfamiliar with salesforce.com a few hours of training with the Membership Director and myself may be required initially.  This position also requires a one-year commitment and attendance at monthly committee meetings.


 

Position:  Professional Development Manager 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:  Takes ownership of quarterly professional development workshops.  This includes planning logistics, designing the agenda and managing the workshops on-site (including introducing the NAAAP Colorado Chapter to members and non-members at all events).  The workshops will be part of a Leadership Series for the local chapter.  Professional Development is at the core of what NAAAP Colorado provides to our membership and the local Asian American professional community.  The Professional Development Manager (in conjunction with the Program Director and Manager) will work with local corporate sponsors and partners to successfully implement these quarterly workshops. 

Roles:  Program management/coordination and the ability to collaborate with corporate sponsors and community partners is essential.    This position reports directly to the Program Director and Manager. 

Time Requirements:  This position will require attendance at all professional development events and a couple hours every week to help design, coordinate and implement in preparation for the event.  This position also requires a one-year commitment and attendance at monthly committee meetings.

 


 

Position:  Employee Resource Group (ERG) Manager

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Takes ownership of quarterly ERG round table events.  This includes planning logistics, designing the agenda and managing the events on-site (including introducing the NAAAP Colorado Chapter to members and non-members at all events).  The Manager will work closely with the Programming Board Advisor and Director to help implement one of NAAAP Colorado’s marquee events.  The ERG Round Table Events have a lot of visibility in the Denver corporate community.

Roles:  Program management/coordination and the ability to collaborate with corporate partners is a major aspect of this position.  This position reports directly to the Program Director and Manager. 

Time Requirements:  This position will require attendance at all ERG events and a couple hours every week to help design, coordinate and implement in preparation for the event.  This position also requires a one-year commitment and attendance at monthly committee meetings. 

 

 

Position:  Community Service/Outreach Manager 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:  Designs or partners with community organizations to engage our local membership in a quarterly community service event.  The Manager will not only reach out to the local Asian American community but also to the greater Colorado community at-large.  The Manager will also be responsible for on-site management and coordination of volunteers (including introducing the NAAAP Colorado Chapter to members and non-members at all events). 

Roles:  Project management/coordination skills and the ability to creatively engage NAAAP members and the local community is essential to this position.  This position reports directly to the Program Director and Manager. 

Time Requirements: This position will require attendance at all Community Service/Outreach events and a couple hours every week to help design, coordinate and implement in preparation for the event.  This position also requires a one-year commitment and attendance at monthly committee meetings.

 

 

 

Position:  Social Event Manager

Job Duties/Responsibilities:  Takes ownership of monthly social events.  This includes planning logistics (venue, issues for participants like parking, costs, food, drink, etc), designing the agenda (possible ice-breaker type activities) and introducing the NAAAP Colorado Chapter to members and non-members at all events. 

Roles: Project management/coordination and the ability to provide high quality, consistent events that highlight the benefits of joining the Colorado Chapter of NAAAP.
