STUDENT RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST (Bi-Lingual)

 

Colorado Heights University is a private, non-profit international university specializing in educating international and local students seeking to be productive global citizens. CHU is distinguished by its small size, international student population and nationally accredited curriculum. 

 

CHU seeks an enthusiastic and experienced student recruiter with a cooperative work style to serve as a Student Recruitment Specialist.         

 

Under general direction and using judgment and discretion, this position informs prospective English as a Second Language (ESL), Undergraduate and Graduate students regarding program admissions and completion requirements and assists with the enrollment process. This position performs student recruitment activities via telephone and face-to-face meetings with prospective students. 

 

Selected Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties and activities may be assigned)

 

  1. Provide prospective students with the highest level of customer service through effective phone, email and face-to-face communication.

 

  1. Conduct individual and group presentations and disseminate approved program information appropriate for each student’s academic goals. This includes providing information to potential students with respect to program format, admissions, degree options, requirements and costs. 

 

  1. Act as a personal coach to help students select a program, complete the enrollment process and make a smooth transition into the classroom.

 

  1. Balance tasks and activities to consistently follow The University standards for timely enrollment of students in scheduled classes. 

 

  1. Generate student referrals through networking and community outreach.

 

  1. Working with other members of the Student Recruitment team, facilitate on-campus and off-campus recruitment events.

 

Requirements for Candidates:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 1 year of previous related work experience in University Recruitment or Admissions
  • Good communication skills in English and at least one other language such as:
    • Spanish
    • Arabic
    • Vietnamese

 

Salary: $35k to $40k DOE
