Member of the Month

For the month of November, NAAAP Colorado is proud to bring into the spotlight...Mr. Evan Osborn

Name:  Evan Osborn

Company/School:  Fiserv ISS

Industry:  Finance

Career goals:  In addition to gaining more experience in the corporate world, I would love to go back to school and get my MBA.  Long term I would like to start my own strategic planning consultant firm.

Current NAAAP involvement:  Program Committee Chair, 2009 National Convention Vice Co-Chair.

How has NAAAP helped you:  NAAAP has helped me on several fronts since I've become a member.  I've made valuable business/personal connections in the local community and around the country.  NAAAP has also helped with my own personal leadership skills and development.

From your professional experience, what advice would you give to NAAAP members:  Always strive to build your network and cultivate friendships when you can.  In today's tough economy these connections and friendships may help you survive a rough time in your career.

Hobbies:  I love hiking, fishing, scuba diving, martial arts, football and reading.  I've also done quite a bit of traveling internationally.  And eventually I'd love to find a job that enabled me to do this.

Hero/role model:  I been blessed to have several heroes and role models in my life.  A few of the most important heroes in my life are my mother and father.  Both for different but very important reasons (I'll try to keep it short!)  My mother has always been my hero for her determination (personally and professionally,) and for instilling my "family first" values.  My late father is also one of my heroes because of his belief in doing things the right way and the concept of self-integrity.  Both of my loving parents were determined to raise successful children.  By successful, I mean children that were educated, caring, loyal and good citizens in society.
